Job Summary
Looking for an Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper who has a passion for working with numbers and attention to detail and accuracy reporting to the company Controller.  
This position contributes to achieving organizational objectives by:
· Developing a good working knowledge of the daily operations of the organization including filing systems, and computerized files.
· Supporting accurate financial data and compliance
· Maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations, general ledger entries, monthly financial reporting, and record payments and adjustments.
- Quickbooks experience not necessary, but helpful.
- Looking for someone willing to learn.

Hours: Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm and required to occasionally work outside of regular office hours

Responsibilities and Duties
- Input supplier invoices, including calculating tax rebates.
- Utilize QuickBooks and Excel for data entry, reporting, and analysis.
· Input customer invoices and any associated supporting documents.
· Prepare bank deposits.
· Print cheques for paying supplier invoices, and print reports.
· Perform regular reconciliations of accounts, including bank reconciliations and Credit Card statements to receipts for payment as per expenditure guidelines;
· Prepares accurate bank deposits
· Processes and maintains account payable ensuring timeliness and accuracy of information, according to established procedures;
- Work with internal CRM system
- Prepares quotes and tender presentations 
· Performs other duties as assigned by the Controller.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel is essential.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.

We are a small company that has been providing window cleaning services in Toronto since the 1980's.  Currently, we are really looking for people that are willing to learn and grow with us. There is potential for promotions and raises. We are very flexible with whatever schedule you may have, as long as we have advance notice. We always pay our team members on time, every two weeks, which often can be an issue with sub-trades working for small businesses.
