Job Summary
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including trimming, pruning, edging, cultivating, watering, planting, and debris cleanup to ensure healthy and aesthetically pleasing garden beds and landscapes
- Operate or demonstrate willingness to learn equipment such as gas blowers, trimmers, and cultivators
- Assist with garden bed preparation and maintenance, mulching, and seasonal planting projects
- Install seasonal plantings and arrangements in beds, planters, and containers at various properties throughout the GTA.
- Complete softscape landscaping tasks including planting, transplanting, loading and transporting nursery stock, and reading and executing landscape plans
- Water and maintain various container plantings throughout the GTA
- Care for, prepare, load and transport plant material stored at the company shop
- Ensure proper storage and maintenance of tools and equipment
- Follow all company safety protocols and procedures
- Experience in landscape maintenance, gardening or horticultural practices
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools such as lawnmower, hedge trimmer, weed wacker, blower, cultivator for landscaping tasks
- Strong understanding of plant care and landscape maintenance principles
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Physical stamina and capability to perform manual labour
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow safety procedures when handling tools and equipment
- Previous landscape maintenance experience is considered an asset
